Dr. Tai-Ran Hsu, Ph.D. and his students of San Jose State University have developed the very first Human and solar powered electric car. The car can operate at up to 35mph for 60 miles on its four batteries charge though the solar, or in highly congested areas it can be manually pedaled to save energy. The car is intended to replace golf carts as utility vehicles and provide cheap inner city transport for places like China.
