Harry Fleming

Harry Fleming is the founder of Acro Energy Technologies Corp., which is headquartered in Houston, Texas. Fleming recognized the opportunity to streamline and consolidate solar system integrators, initially in the residential market in the United States. Acro Energy commenced trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Feb. 24, 2009.

Since becoming chief executive officer for Acro Energy, Fleming has served as a source on the future of solar energy for consumers as well as the consolidation of solar integrators for investors. 

Fleming has almost 30 years of legal and business experience. In 2001, after obtaining his Master of Business Administration from Boston College, Fleming transitioned from legal work into investing in emerging growth companies.

Drawing upon his legal experience in corporate finance and securities law, Fleming has focused much of his career on emerging growth companies, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning and alliances, and investor relations. His background includes venture capital representation, business strategy consulting, public company representation, mergers and acquisitions with high tech firms in Houston and Boston. He also has extensive experience with consolidating companies in the waste management industry. Having spent more than 20 year working at law firms in Houston and Boston, Fleming maintains the highest rating (AV) of U.S. attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell. He also acted as general counsel and chief financial officer for several companies with an emphasis on start-up and growth strategies.

Fleming has served as a source on the future of solar energy for consumers, as well as the consolidation of solar integrators for investors. He has been quoted in MIT Technology Review, Scientific American, Bloomberg Business, Solar Today, The Houston Business Journal, The Houston Chronicle, The San Francisco Business Times, Sustainable Energy,  Inter PV, and on “The Business Makers” and “Corporate Strategies” radio shows, among other news outlets.  Fleming has also been asked to present at (RETECH 2010) Renewable Energy Technology Conference & Exhibition in Washington D.C., Photovoltaics World Conference & Expo in Austin, 2010 Green Summit Xpo in New Jersey, Alternate Energy & Building Efficiency Conference & Exhibition in Chicago and Hartford,Southwest Build-It-Green Expo & Conference in Phoenix, and to investors at the Casey Research Conference in Denver.

In addition to his MBA from Boston College, Fleming earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University in 1980. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in 1983. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Marty Spake

Marty was the Vice President responsible for mergers and acquisitions, investor relations, and strategic planning at Chicago Bridge & Iron. Before CB&I, he was the Director of structured finance, business development, and strategic investments for Compaq. Prior to Compaq, he worked in financial planning and analysis for Sun Microsystems. Marty has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from the United States Military Academy, West Point. He served in the US Army as an Artillery officer and is airborne and air assault qualified.

Mr. Samuelson

Douglas Samuelson

Mr. Samuelson brings over 20 years of legal experience to the Corporation. Mr. Samuelson was a principal with a mid-sized law firm in Houston, Texas focusing on business and construction related matters. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and maintains the highest rating (A-V) of U.S. attorneys by Martindale-Hubbell. Samuelson holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

 


Vice President, Operations


Brad Kovnat

Brad Kovnat is the Vice President of Operations for Acro Energy where he is responsible for permitting, plans, procurement, rebates, interconnections, scheduling, customer service, field services and information technology. Before becoming the VP of Operations, Brad was responsible for operational integration and corporate shared services, where he was instrumental in integrating Acro’s acquisitions profitably. Brad has an MBA from Pepperdine University and is a graduate of Hofstra University.
